Effective management of data throughout its lifecycle is crucial for optimising storage, ensuring security, and maximising your own and your organisation's ability to leverage data. 

Learn about the general principles for selecting storage services and best practices that you can apply to ensure work continuity, efficient data management and proper re-usability for your work. During this webinar, we aim to draw attention to good data management routines and their benefits. We introduce the main questions related to research data lifecycle - what to consider at the beginning of your work, how to manage group data storage, how to remove unnecessary data and what to consider for preserving data.

We’ll give examples of how to apply these principles in action using the storage services available at Aalto University. We will cover these topics:
