What did you do? During my stay at the Universidad Politecnica de Catalunya, I participated in a matchmaking workshop focused on forming groups for the submission of proposals in response to Horizon calls. Additionally, I engaged in discussions about the future of Unite!, delving into potential collaboration opportunities related to PhD programs and research infrastructure.
What did you gain from this experience? No
What made you choose a Unite! partner? I chose Unite! for my mobility because it provides an attractive institutional framework that fosters collaboration and the establishment of research consortia capable of successfully securing public funding. I am confident that goal is considerably smoother with Unite!. Furthermore, I am enthusiastic about actively contributing to the development of closer and deeper collaborations within European universities, aligning perfectly with Unite!'s mission.
Unite! & you I was acquainted with Unite! prior to this experience, as I had previously participated in one of Unite!‘s workshops dedicated to establishing research collaborations between universities. This experience solidified my connection to Unite! and increased my commitment to promoting the concept within my workplace. Observing the direct impact of our collaboration on specific projects strengthened my sense of working toward a common goal that unites us. The discussions on improving our growth as institutions and the informal exchanges contributed to a stronger sense of being part of a united university.
What are your expectations for Unite? I believe that Unite! offers an excellent exchange platform for European universities to collaborate in teaching and research domains. Close collaboration is crucial for the future of universities and the EU, involving aligning curricula, enhancing research collaboration, and leveraging each other's knowledge and experience. I hope that Unite! can provide increased organizational and financial support for activities, especially those benefiting the younger generation of researchers, fostering their growth and development as a united university. Furthermore, I also hope for more support for sustainable traveling for Unite! events.
